- working principle:
The silica in the water sample reacts with the molybdate ion under acidic conditions to form a silicomolybdic acid complex. Oxalic acid is added to destroy the phosphate complex, and ferrous ammonium sulfate reagent is added to turn the yellow silicomolybdic acid into blue. The measurement is performed at a wavelength of 815 nm, and the color change of the sample is detected.
