-Measuring principle:

 

In an acidic solution, hexavalent chromium and diphenylcarbazide (DPC) in the water sample form a purple-red compound, which is spectrophotometrically measured at a wavelength of 540 nm. Differently, the colorimetric method is used to measure the colorimeter, and finally the concentration value of hexavalent chromium is calculated.
