Measuring principle
OTT Qliner2 is suitable for measuring small and medium-sized natural rivers and artificial channels. Through the PDA for convenient and effective control, you can quickly measure the fixed-point flow velocity of the river, the distribution of cross-sectional flow velocity, and the cross-sectional flow.
Qliner2 itself is a small acoustic Doppler flow measurement system. The ultrasonic sensor on the boat is used to measure the cross-sectional velocity in the river channel. The operator uses a PDA to connect the sensor via Bluetooth, and the data can be analyzed and stored instantly.
The sensor uses four acoustic beams to monitor the cross-sectional flow. As shown in the figure below, beam 1 and beam 2 are respectively at an angle of 25 degrees from the vertical direction, which is used to measure the flow velocity on the vertical line, and beam 4 is vertically downward, which is used to measure the position and water depth of the bed; Compensation for shallow water flow rate.
During the use of Qliner2, the user needs to first determine the vertical line of the river section, use the rope to drag the boat along the determined route, and stay on each vertical line for 30 seconds to 1 minute in order to obtain stable and accurate measurement results, the usual section The measurement can be completed within 5-20 minutes with an accuracy higher than 1%.
