(1) Instrument Overview

The SITRANS FMS400 is an electromagnetic flow sensor designed for volumetric flow measurement of conductive liquids. Its highly flexible product configuration enables stable operation across various flow applications. The FMS400 offers a variety of diameters, with standard or optional grounding electrodes. Its measuring electrodes can withstand the most demanding process media environments and provide multiple lining options. The fully welded construction ensures that the FMS400 delivers exceptional strength and durability even under the harshest operating conditions. This flowmeter ensures high-precision measurement under low-flow conditions, covering extremely low flow velocities up to a maximum of 10 meters per second, with an extremely wide measurement range. When used together with flow meter transmitters, it forms a traditional externally powered electromagnetic flowmeter system.
