(1) Instrument Overview

The SITRANS FMS500 is an electromagnetic flow sensor designed for measuring volumetric flow in liquids (conductive), making it an ideal product for applications such as raw water, wastewater treatment, distribution networks, and irrigation. Its robust and durable fully welded design allows it to be buried directly underground, continuously immersed in water, and can withstand various corrosive chemical media used in various industry applications. This flow sensor is designed for high-precision measurements under low flow conditions, capable of measuring flows from extremely low speeds up to 10 m/s, covering a very wide measurement range. It is used in conjunction with electromagnetic flow transmitters and is a traditional externally powered electromagnetic flowmeter system.
