Product Overview:

The HACH TU5300 sc/TU5400 sc online turbidity detectors feature a 360° ×90° laser optical path design for precise detection of water turbidity. They come with built-in automatic cleaning and pre-diagnosis systems, requiring low maintenance and fast response, and are suitable for online monitoring needs across multiple fields such as tap water, electricity, beverages, and pharmaceuticals.

 

Working Principle:

1. The instrument emits a laser beam into the water sample. Suspended particles in the sample change the direction of light propagation, producing scattered light at 90° angle with the incident light;

2. Unique 360° ×90° optical path design: scattered light passes through a conical mirror and surrounds the sample 360° to ensure uniform capture of light signals and avoid detection errors caused by local concentration differences;

3. The transmitted light detector accurately collects the intensity of scattered light. Based on the principle that "scattered light intensity is positively correlated with suspended particulate content" (the more or larger the particles, the stronger the scattered light and the higher the turbidity value), and converts turbidity data using built-in algorithms;

4. Final turbidity results are displayed in real time in NTUs, supporting data storage and export, meeting the timeliness and traceability needs of online monitoring, especially suitable for low turbidity scenarios from 0 to 40 NTU.
