Working Principle:

The Surface Scatter 7sc high-range turbidity meter uses the principle of scattered light monitoring. The sample flows into the tilted turbidity meter body at a rate of about 1 to 2 liters per minute, with the liquid overflowing onto the horizontal surface at the top of the turbidity meter body, forming a flat measurement plane. A strong beam of light is directed at the liquid surface at a certain angle, causing suspended particles in the sample to emit scattered light. A detector placed above the liquid detects the 90-degree scattered light, completing turbidity measurement.
