Working Principle:

Acid is added to the sample to lower the pH, allowing inorganic carbon to be blown out in the form of CO2. When measuring total inorganic carbon (TIC), the secondary oxidation technology (TSAO) is used to fully oxidize the sample, converting organic carbon into CO2. The sample's pH value is lowered again, CO2 is purged out, and measured by an NDIR CO2 detector. The results are presented as total organic carbon (TOC).
