QL3580M Online Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyzer
Product Overview:
QL3580M The Online Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzer is a professional device designed by Hashi specifically for TOC monitoring of municipal tap water, pipeline water, and industrial source water. The core uses "UV persulfate + hydroxyl radical" composite oxidation technology, paired with an NDIR detector for precise quantification. Through a sequential, batch measurement logic of "removing inorganic carbon (TIC) first, then measuring organic carbon (TOC)," it achieves high-accuracy monitoring in low-concentration TOC scenarios. The equipment centers on "high oxidation efficiency, low maintenance requirements, and anti-clogging design," adapting to municipal water supply compliance monitoring and industrial source water process control, providing continuous and reliable data support for early warning of water organic pollution and process optimization.
Working Principle:
-
Core measurement logic: remove TIC first, then test TOC, ensuring accurate and interference-free data
QL3580M Through a four-step batch process, inorganic carbon and organic carbon are thoroughly separated, avoiding interference from TIC on TOC measurement. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Inorganic carbon conversion stage: After the water sample enters the reactor, it reacts with acid reagents, and all inorganic carbon in the sample (such as carbonates and bicarbonates) is converted into carbon dioxide (CO₂);
2. TIC Discharge and Detection Stage: Using pure oxygen (or clean air) without CO₂ as the carrier gas, the converted CO₂ is completely discharged from the reactor. At the same time, real-time detection is performed using an NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) detector to accurately measure the total inorganic carbon (TIC) concentration;
3. Organic carbon oxidation stage: The water sample with TIC removal enters the oxidation unit, where a "UV persulfate + hydroxyl radical" composite oxidation technology is used to thoroughly oxidize all organic carbon in the sample (such as small molecule organic matter and colloidal organic compounds) into CO₂;
4. TOC quantification stage: The carrier gas again introduces oxidized CO₂ into the NDIR detector. By measuring the CO₂ concentration, the total organic carbon (TOC) content is calculated and finally outputs the TOC concentration value (mg/L).
-
Measurement technology advantages
Composite oxidation technology ensures organic carbon oxidation efficiency of over 95%, maintaining high accuracy even at low concentrations of TOC (such as 0.05 mg/L);
The process of removing TIC before testing TOC completely eliminates the interference of inorganic carbon in water samples with TOC results, making the data more accurate to the actual organic carbon content.
Instrument Features:
-
Accurately measure the organic matter content in water samples
QL3580M online TOC analyzer uses a combined oxidation method of UV persulfate and hydroxyl radicals. When oxygen is used as the carrier gas, it provides a stable source for hydroxyl radicals, improving oxidation efficiency and oxidation capacity, and achieving high accuracy even at low concentrations of TOC measurement. The detection limit is as low as 0.05 ppm.
-
Low maintenance volume, low maintenance costs
QL3580M online TOC analyzer features a 4 mm inner diameter sample inlet line, capable of measuring soft particles up to 2 mm in diameter, comes with a built-in flow cell, and requires no filtration for conventional samples. Saves pretreatment costs and reduces pipeline maintenance. The simple instrument design and the two-point automatic calibration function on the instrument reduce extra maintenance for operators, while sequential batch measurement lowers reagent consumption. No alkaline reagents are used in the analysis process, eliminating measurement interference caused by carbon dioxide dissolving into alkaline reagents, effectively reducing the difficulty for operators to prepare reagents.
-
User-friendly human-machine interface
QL3580M online TOC analyzer is equipped with a high-definition touchscreen, featuring a user-friendly interface and instrument interface, enabling quick and convenient data downloads and software updates. The multi-level management mode makes it easy for users to manage their instruments.
Application Areas:
QL3580M online total organic carbon analyzers are widely used for TOC monitoring of municipal tap water and pipelines, as well as for industrial source water TOC monitoring.
-
Municipal tap water and pipeline water sector
-
Industrial source water sector
