Product Overview:

HACH has upgraded and developed a new generation of online ammonia nitrogen monitoring product—the Amtax NA8000 Ammonia Nitrogen Detector—to meet the demand for ammonia nitrogen detectors in the Chinese market. The Amtax NA8000 online ammonia nitrogen detector uses the salicylic acid-indphenol blue method, improving measurement accuracy, stability, and maintenance. This ammonia nitrogen detector adopts a dual-wavelength and dual-path cuvette design, with four ranges that can automatically switch, automatically calibrate, and clean, while also supporting data storage and graphical display to meet various needs of water quality ammonia nitrogen detectors.

 

Working Principle:

The Amtax NA8000 ammonia nitrogen detector uses the salicylic acid–indophenol blue method to determine ammonia nitrogen concentration. Due to the action of the catalyst, NH4+ reacts with hypochlorite ions and salicylate ions in an alkaline medium to form indophenol compounds, which appear green. Within the measurement range of the ammonia nitrogen detector, the degree of color change is proportional to the concentration of NH4+ in the sample. The Amtax NA8000 ammonia nitrogen online monitor calculates the concentration of NH4+ in the sample by measuring the degree of color change, thereby enabling online ammonia nitrogen monitoring.
