Product Overview:
HACH BODTrak II uses the national standard differential pressure method to simulate the degradation of natural organic matter, requiring no complex pretreatment, enabling fast and precise BOD detection. It is suitable for municipal, industrial, monitoring, and research scenarios, with convenient operation and reliable data.
Working Principle:
The BODTrak II BOD tester uses the differential pressure method to simulate the biodegradation process of organic compounds in nature:
1. The oxygen in the air above the test bottle continuously replenishes dissolved oxygen consumed by microorganisms in the water;
2. CO₂ generated from organic matter degradation is absorbed by potassium hydroxide inside the sealed lid, avoiding interference with pressure monitoring;
3. The pressure sensor captures real-time changes in oxygen pressure inside the test bottle, establishing a correlation between "BOD value (corresponding to oxygen consumption) - gas pressure";
4. The final BOD value is displayed directly on the instrument screen in mg/L, along with graphical presentation of the test results.
Instrument Features:
● The BODTrak II BOD tester uses the differential pressure method, which complies with national standard methods. Simulating the process of microorganisms degrading organic matter in nature is closer to reality. Compared to diluted inoculation, this BOD detector is simpler, more convenient to operate, and takes less time.
● The BOD tester has 6 independent measurement channels and can measure 6 samples at a time.
● Automatic shutdown and automatic data collection.
● Continuous readings and real-time graphical display of measurement process changes.
● The BOD tester can read measurement results directly from the graph and observe the culture and reaction process through curves, making the test results more intuitive.

BOD meters are widely used in municipal sewage, industrial wastewater, environmental monitoring, university research, domestic sewage, agriculture, and other fields.
Municipal Wastewater Sector:
Used for BOD testing at key points such as influent, biochemical treatment units, and effluent in wastewater treatment plants, to assess wastewater biodegradability, evaluate biochemical treatment process efficiency, and ensure that the BOD indicators of effluent are met;
Industrial wastewater sector:
Suitable for industrial wastewater BOD testing in industries such as chemical, dyeing, food processing, and pharmaceuticals, assisting enterprises in assessing wastewater pollution levels, optimizing wastewater treatment processes, and avoiding direct discharge of high BOD wastewater that causes environmental pollution;
