Working Principle:

The LDO portable dissolved oxygen meter uses a new dissolved oxygen measurement technology—the fluorescence method.

The dissolved oxygen sensor of the HACH LDO portable dissolved oxygen meter is covered by a layer of fluorescent material. When the blue light emitted by the LED light source hits the fluorescent material on the sensor's surface, the fluorescent material is excited to release red light. The higher the dissolved oxygen concentration, the shorter the time from emitting blue light to emitting red light. The dissolved oxygen meter records this period and establishes a correlation between the red light release time and dissolved oxygen concentration. The LDO portable dissolved oxygen meter calculates the dissolved oxygen concentration by measuring the release time of the red light and displays the result directly on the screen.
