Technical indicators
The portable dissolved oxygen analyzer is suitable for measuring the concentration or saturation of oxygen dissolved in water. The LDO ™ Portable Dissolved Oxygen Analyzer is developed by Hach Company using technology and is suitable for two portable instruments for laboratory and field testing.
Portable Dissolved Oxygen Analyzer: New technology for dissolved oxygen measurement-fluorescence measurement of dissolved oxygen
The LDO dissolved oxygen sensor of the HACH portable dissolved oxygen analyzer is covered with a layer of fluorescent material. When the blue light emitted by the LED light source hits the fluorescent material on the sensor surface, the fluorescent material is excited to emit red light. The time from when blue light is emitted to when red light is emitted is recorded. The higher the oxygen concentration in the water, the shorter the time to release red light. To establish the correlation between the red light release time and the dissolved oxygen concentration, the portable dissolved oxygen analyzer calculates the dissolved oxygen concentration by measuring the red light release time, and then directly displays the dissolved oxygen concentration on the screen.
In terms of the technique of measuring dissolved oxygen, the portable dissolved oxygen analyzer with LDO probe has many advantages compared with the traditional dissolved oxygen analyzer based on current or polarography:
(1) No need for polarization: When measuring dissolved oxygen, the probe of the LDO dissolved oxygen analyzer does not require polarization time. Traditional dissolved oxygen probes usually have a polarization process before use.
(2) No calibration required: The probe of the LDO dissolved oxygen analyzer has been calibrated before leaving the factory, so the user can directly measure the concentration of dissolved oxygen without calibration when using it. The traditional dissolved oxygen instrument usually has a calibration step when it is used. After the calibration is passed, the dissolved oxygen can be measured.
(3) Low maintenance: the probe of the LDO dissolved oxygen analyzer is a membrane-free probe. There is no need to replace the membrane components or the electrolyte. The maintenance amount is greatly reduced, which saves time and reduces the user's maintenance cost.
(4) Strong anti-interference ability: The LDO probe is a membrane-free probe, so it is not disturbed by chemical substances in typical wastewater.
(5) Durable fluorescent cap: The fluorescent cap can maintain its accuracy even if it is scratched or partially polluted, and it is easy to clean. .
