Measuring principle
The SM1 soil moisture probe is very convenient to install and use, and provides soil moisture and temperature monitoring based on capacitance measurement.
Soil moisture and temperature are measured at different depths, a soil moisture probe is placed every 10 cm, and a temperature sensor is placed every 30 cm. Multi-layer moisture temperature integrated measurement, tubular shell, diameter Φ32mm, supports tubular and mud installation, easy and fast installation. Using SDI-12 communication protocol, simple wiring.
According to the length of the sensor, there are 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 cm. Users can choose different lengths according to their needs.
A maximum of 5 temperature sensors are available. Their temperature sensors are located at 15 cm, one every 30 cm, so the others are at 45, 75, 105, and 135 cm, respectively.
The device uses the sdi-12 protocol and comes with a 5m cable.
